Christmas is just around the corner, but we're not quite ready for the turkey and tinsel just yet!

So before the festive madness begins, why not join us for a lovely evening of good food, great company and plenty of laughter at The Swan Inn in Upton Warren?

Whether you're a familiar face or joining Love In Sync for the very first time, we'd love to welcome you to our table.

We're keeping this one cosy, with a maximum of just 20 singles aged 50+, giving everyone the chance to relax, chat and get to know each other over a delicious meal.

🍽️ What's on the Menu?

Fancy a delicious traditional carvery with all the trimmings? Or perhaps you'd prefer the meat-free carvery?

There's also a selection of other dishes available from the main menu, so you're welcome to choose whatever takes your fancy.

And if you've got room for something sweet afterwards, there are some rather tempting puddings, including:

💛 How Much Does It Cost?

Love In Sync Members: £5 hosting fee

Non-Members: £10 hosting fee

Your hosting fee is paid in advance when booking and reserves your place at our table.

Food and drinks are not included and are ordered and paid for separately at the pub, so you can choose exactly what you'd like.

As a guide, the carvery is £13.95, with many desserts around £6.25.

❤️ Coming Along on Your Own?

Please don't worry! Most people attending our events come along on their own, and we know that walking into somewhere new can feel a little daunting, especially if it's your first singles event.

I'll be there to welcome you, introduce you to others and help you feel comfortable.

You'll be joining a friendly table of people who are all there for the same reason — to enjoy themselves, meet new people and have a lovely evening out.

There's no need to bring a friend, and you certainly won't be left sitting on your own!

🥂 What to Expect

This isn't speed dating, and there won't be any awkward games or pressure to find romance.

It's simply a relaxed social evening where you can enjoy a lovely meal, have a good chat, make new friends and perhaps meet someone special along the way.

We don't promise a perfect match, but we do promise a warm welcome and the opportunity to meet other single people in a friendly, relaxed setting.

Please double-check the postcode before setting off, as there is more than one Swan Inn in the Bromsgrove area!

💕 A Little Note About Staying Safe

We want everyone to have a wonderful evening and feel safe and comfortable.

If you meet someone you get along with, that's fantastic! But please remember that you're meeting people you may not know very well.

We recommend that you don't leave the event with someone you've only just met. Make your own arrangements for getting home, and if you'd like to meet someone again, arrange another date somewhere public.

A little common sense goes a long way when meeting new people, and we want everyone to get home safely.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, please! As this is a seated meal with a maximum of 20 places, booking is essential. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate walk-ins without a confirmed booking.

Can I come on my own?

Absolutely! Most of our guests come along on their own. Jacquie will be there to welcome you, make introductions and help you feel comfortable. You'll soon feel part of the group!

What age group is this event for?

This event is for singles aged 50 and over. We welcome a lovely mixture of ages, personalities and backgrounds.

Will there be equal numbers of men and women?

We don't guarantee an equal number of men and women at our social events. Love In Sync is about enjoying shared experiences, making new friendships and perhaps finding a romantic connection along the way.

Is this speed dating?

No! There are no timed conversations, matching rounds or formal activities. Just good food, lovely company and natural conversation in a relaxed atmosphere.

Do I have to order the carvery?

Not at all! You're welcome to choose from the traditional carvery, meat-free carvery or other dishes available on the pub's main menu.

Is my meal included in the ticket price?

No. Your ticket covers the hosting and organisation of the event and reserves your seat at our table. Food and drinks are ordered and paid for separately at the pub.

Do I need to be a Love In Sync member?

No! Everyone who is single and aged 50+ is welcome. PLUS Members pay a £5 hosting fee and non-members pay £10.

Can I bring a friend?

Of course, provided your friend is also single, aged 50+ and books their own place. Our events are exclusively for single people, rather than couples or married friends accompanying attendees.

What if I meet someone I like?

Wonderful! That's always a lovely bonus. You're welcome to exchange contact details if you both feel comfortable, but there's absolutely no pressure.

What if I need to cancel?

Please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your place to someone else. Hosting fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by Love In Sync.

Is there parking available?

Yes! The Swan Inn has a large car park at the rear of the pub. Please make sure you travel to The Swan Inn, Worcester Road, Upton Warren, Bromsgrove, B61 7ET, as there is more than one Swan Inn in the Bromsgrove area.

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident! Smart casual is perfect for this relaxed evening out.

What if I'm nervous about attending?

That's completely normal, especially if it's your first event! Jacquie will be there to greet you and introduce you to others. Many of our regulars were nervous at their first event too, so you'll be in good company.

Can I leave the event with someone I've just met?

For your own safety, we recommend making your own arrangements to get home rather than leaving with someone you've only just met. If you hit it off with someone, why not arrange to meet again somewhere public? Your safety and wellbeing are important to us.
